In 1979, Tang’s family immigrated to the United States from Taiwan, so that the father could accept an invitation to be the head chef for a traditional Chinese restaurant in San Jose, California called Long Shing. Based in Taipei, Long Shing was one of the top restaurants in Taiwan. The family then came to Texas and opened their first restaurant, Golden China, in Bedford. In 2002, Golden China’s second location opened up in Southlake, Texas. With the passion of food industry, Tang’s Pacific Bistro set’s itself apart from Golden China and other traditional Chinese restaurants by serving some of the more exotic and authentic of Asian cuisine, sushi, some of Southern-American dishes, the Cajun seafood and providing a full and exclusive bar..
